Summer Sounds and Cinema

Free Summer Sounds and Cinema event at McKinley Playfield August 21

High energy latin music will have the crowd dancing in the park at Summer Sounds and Cinema on Saturday, August 21 at McKinley Playfield, 4321 McKinley Ave.

The evening kicks-off with an outdoor concert at 7 pm featuring Banda Vagos, a group of musicians from different backgrounds and musical styles that have come together to create their well-loved brand of high-energy latin music.

Where the Wild Things Are begins at dusk. Relax in your lawn chair as the charming and well-loved monster from this children’s book is brought to life on the big screen. The movie tonight will be shown with Spanish subtitles.

Each week this free event moves to a new location and features a different genre of music followed at dusk by the movie of the night. Seating is on the lawn so attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or a folding chair.
