Friday at the Fort

Summertime is the right time for grown-up fun at Fort Nisqually

Have a great time with friends and enjoy a summertime party in a gorgeous setting--at Fort Nisqually as the sun goes down--during the first annual Friday at the Fort from 6 to 9 pm on Friday, July 30.

Enjoy the beauty of Point Defiance Park at dusk while the music of Mooncoyne adds energy and fun to the scene inside Fort Nisqually. Whether you choose to kick back and relax or kick up your heels and dance, the festivities inside these walls will leave you forgetting the world outside!

Quench your thirst and feed your hunger with unique, local refreshments available for purchase including craft beer from Gig Harbor’s 7 Seas Brewing, home of the "perfect pint”, and empanadas from Pampeana, a family-owned business that provides traditional-style baked empanadas with delicious and creative fillings. Wine and soft drinks will also be available.

Admission is $5 if purchased in advance and $7 at the gate. Friday at the Fort is for adults ages 21 and older.

Tickets can be purchased online at or in person at Fort Nisqually Living History Museum inside Point Defiance Park and at the Metro Parks Tacoma main office, 4702 S 19th St.

Seating is limited so feel free to bring a lawn chair or blanket. All proceeds support the Fort Nisqually Foundation.

Fort Nisqually Living History Museum is a restoration of the Hudson's Bay Company outpost on Puget Sound. It provides a rare setting for all generations to explore the early history of our state and learn about the life experiences of those who settled here.
