Book-It Theater Presents - Johnny Appleseed: A Tall Tale

at Moore Library!

Johnny Appleseed: A Tall Tale is the story of John Chapman (better known as Johnny Appleseed), an adventurous young man born during the Revolutionary War. John befriends Native Americans, loves the great outdoors, challenges woodsmen to tree-chopping competitions, and plants apple orchards. Using Steven Kellogg's words, Book-It brings to life the true story of a hero who brings apples and hope to the early settlers of America, and recounts the exaggerated stories that grow out of his extraordinary experiences, incorporating themes of environmentalism, courage and pioneering exploration. Participation is limited. Advance registration required.
