I love the planet. That's Jupiter, right? I have to vote for thorax.

I vote for Joe Lonergan!

Any photos of the final version of the panel Thorax started? By the end, it was an epic collaboration, including Thorax's Voyager/Jupiter, the timeline, Mark's ninja, my alien, and Pac-Man eating Thorax's timeline.

I also vote for lil' Joe Lonergan! Best Spirit Capture portrait so far. Great work Ryan.

Actually everyone really did an amazing job this week. Loved the ninja invasion. Loved the Voyager. Loved the Pacmen.

Despite the weather I had a great time.

Thank you Frost Park.

I was going to vote for Thorax - I love jupiter. I also thought RR's spirit capture of joe was hilarious.

But then I saw the picture that Aril drew. Kind of Dr. Zeusish.

I vote for Ariel.

I want to thank Thorax O'Tool for surprising me by helping me draw Ninjas through the park. It just goes to show you, Ninjas are everywhere.

This week I vote for RR. I loved how he used old chalk art to enhance his own little gnome drawing.

I vote Thorax!

I would like to announce that I, the grand and glorious Mark Monlux, will be sponsoring next week Chalk Challenge.

FIRST PRIZE will be a signed and personalized copy of my first book.
ss_cover_color_9

SECOND PRIZE will be the sloppy seconds Princess Leia Bobblehead.
leia_seconds
It's true I coveted the Princess Leia Bobblehead and, after beating Adam the Alien in a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors to break our tie, I enjoyed taking her home. But it just hasn't worked out between us. Rather than enjoying her on the shelf, I've been keeping her in a bag behind the fireplace. In all honesty, she is just a wee bit creepy. So she will be up on the block next week as second place.

My vote goes to Monlux. There's something about those little Ninja's that I really like.

I change my vote. I vote for Stowe.

I vote for Monlux's ninjas!

by TacomanTime
on 5/21/2010 @ 8:33pm
There's some cool drawings in there. But where's the guy on the ladder i clicked on to come here? All of the drawings in photos look close to the ground - though you can never tell with ninjas.

by Adam the Alien
on 5/21/2010 @ 8:34pm
Damn it! All that and you don't even WANT her? And you only tied on a shaky didn't-use-the-word-"vote" premise, Mark! That Leia should be mine! I feel an unholy rage coming on... ;-D

Hehehe. Anyway, I'm still figuring out who to vote for...it's a toss-up, to me, between Stowe, Thorax and Mark. I'll get back to you on that.

RR Twitter feed says "vote Stowe". Why not, ironic art is fun. I vote for ironic artist Stowe.

by UnstableArt

I have to VOTE for Monlux's Ninjas. They're simple, yet expressive (and numerous). I also like that one is rolling up on a surprised Alien in a UFO of his own. :D

by Mark Monlux
on 5/21/2010 @ 10:25pm
Adam, If you want the Princess you are going to have to work to get her next week. Might I suggest you draw a large heart tattoo, that seems to be very popular.

I want to that Stowe this week. His Easter Eggs chalk drawing were the inspiration to the numerous Ninjas. Next week I might even try the imposing task of drawing a MechaGorilla. But, wait! Next week - in honor of the First Place Prize - the theme is going to be MOVIES! Please bring the most tired and overworked cinematic cliches you can thing of, then we can all vote for Stowe.

by Thorax O'Tool
on 5/21/2010 @ 10:56pm
unsurprisingly, I vote for myself.

by Adam the Alien
on 5/22/2010 @ 10:25am
Damn it, this being sick sucks - sleeping keeps interfering with voting. :(

by Mark Monlux
on 5/22/2010 @ 10:33am
Here is the vote tally... I think RR should referee this one as the instructions for voting were not posted.

Thorax O'Tool 4 (if you count "definitely Thorax" as a 'vote'.)
RR Anderson 3
Monlux 3
Stowe 2
Ariel 1

Please feel free to correct as I might have overlooked a comment.

Hey, no name-calling. I thought we agreed !?

by Thorax O'Tool
on 5/23/2010 @ 10:27am
Yup.
I like to keep a few degrees of separation between between my presence on the net and real life.

@Stowe & RR: thanks!

Hey... how do I go about claiming this prize? Will the Gnome contact me, or is my quest to find the Gnome?
