“The distance between the calculated and the random”

New Work by Lance Kagey

March 12th - April 19th

Opening Reception: Thursday March 12th 6-10 p.m.
Fulcrum Social/Artist Talk: Sunday March 29th 6 p.m.

As Longfellow once wrote, “We murder to dissect.” Our existence is not one of statistics it is one of relationships. As a race we are obsessed with quantifying our surroundings, using numbers to encode and describe our reality. I eagerly explore the connection between the concrete and the ephemeral. My new work is the product of this exploratory process, examining number forms as visual elements and their more pragmatic uses as codes describing complex realities.
