Sound off on Sound Transit at History Museum

Now would be a good time to talk up streetcars.

Sound Transit has launched a series of public meetings and an online survey asking what voters would like to see in a ballot measure potentially for November. Here are the three general options they are offering us:

Plan A is a 20 year plan (to be completed in 2028) financed by a 0.5% increase in the sales tax, which would add 50 miles of light rail to the region, linking Tacoma to SeaTac Airport and Seattle to Bellevue and Lynnwood, while roughly doubling Sounder service between Tacoma and Seattle.

Plan B and Plan C are 12 year plans (to be completed in 2020) financed by a 0.4% and 0.5% sales tax respectively, which would incrementally expand light rail from Seattle east to Bellevue and south to Highline Community College, but light rail from Tacoma to SeaTac would not be included.
