City of Destiny Faith and Film Series

True Stories :: Tough Questions

Urban Grace, Immanuel Presbyterian, and Northwest Leadership Foundation Present:

The 1st film for the City of Destiny Faith and Film Series:
"For the Bible Tells Me So"

With our 4th annual City of Destiny Faith and Film Series we venture for the first time into the medium of documentaries. We will explore True Stories: Tough Questions by looking at three films that deal with the collisions of faith, culture, and society. These films tell the stories of people of faith, each one raising difficult questions about the places where God and humanity meet intimately around issues related to sexual orientation, religion & politics, how we read the bible, sex education, and seperation of church and state to name a few.

Join us as we enter a space where film and the stories they tell help us understand our world, ask profound questions about what it means to be human, portray faith and religion in positive and negative ways, and tell us true stories that raise hard questions.

Films screen after a short introduction by the evenings facilitator and a discussion follows each film. Suggested Donation of $5, snacks and beverages available.
