Anu Garg is the author of three books on words, his most recent being The Dord, the Diglot, and an Avocado or Two: The Hidden Lives and Strange Origins of Words. He is the founder of Wordsmith.org and has A.Word.A.Day newsletter that goes out out to 600,000 linguaphiles in 200 countries. The event PA system will be powered with renewable energy by Solar Richard. The event is also a fundraiser for the Scholars and Champions Association, a nonprofit raising money for Tacoma Public Schools.
