Growing Conversation III

Why Eat Local?

Ever wondered what eating local is all about? [Here's a hint: It's not just about what you eat.] Join a panel of farmers, gardeners, and representatives from the Tacoma Farmers Market and the Tacoma Food Co-op. We'll kick off the conversation by discussing how eating close to home can positively affect the health of your body, community, economy, and the environment.

This topic touches on growing your own food, sustainable and organic gardening, community gardens, the importance of supporting local farms, the health and environmental impacts of increasing local food in your diet, and so much more. For more information, or to join the conversation, visit Tacoma Gardens.
