Regret to Inform Film Showing

and Discussion

Join the discussion on Tacoma Reads Together with this special film showing. Regret to Inform (1998) is a documentary by photographer Barbara Sonneborn. In 1968, she received word that her husband had been killed in Vietnam trying to rescue a wounded colleague. The telegram that arrived began with "We regret to inform you". Sonneborn began filming the documentary over twenty years later, profiling Vietnamese and American women whose lives were shattered by the Vietnam War. Following the film will be a discussion.
